Terms of Service
Draft text awaiting legal review. It does not yet have final contractual value.
These terms govern the use of Slek, an invoicing and tax-tracking service for Algerian auto-entrepreneurs. By creating an account you confirm that you have read them and you accept them.
1. Purpose
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) set the rules for accessing and using Slek (the “Service”), and the rights and obligations of the operator of the Service (“Slek”) and of anyone who creates an account on it (the “User”).
The operator’s legal identity, contact details and hosting are given in the Legal information page. When you sign up, the version of the Terms you accept and the date of your acceptance are recorded with your account.
2. Description of the Service
Slek lets you prepare and follow invoices, quotes, purchase orders, delivery notes and credit notes, keep a client file and expenses, record payments, schedule reminders and follow tax indicators (turnover ceiling, estimated IFU, CASNOS contribution, G12 summaries).
Slek is a management aid. It does not provide tax, accounting or legal advice and does not replace a professional.
3. Account and security
Registration is open to adults with legal capacity. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date, in particular your tax identifiers (NIF, NIS, tax article, trade register, auto-entrepreneur card).
You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for everything done from your account. Tell us without delay if you think someone else is using your account.
You can invite an accountant or a colleague by e-mail: they then get read-only access to your workspace. You remain responsible for that invitation, which you can revoke at any time in Settings.
4. Free plan and Pro plan
The free plan lets you issue up to three invoices per month. The paid Pro plan adds further features (for example the monthly report by e-mail, the BaridiMob QR code or the brand colour) for the period you subscribe to.
Current prices, in Algerian dinars, are shown before any payment. A price change does not apply to a period that is already paid. While the Service is in its test phase, payments may be made in “sandbox” mode: no money is then transferred and they must never be made with a real card.
5. Online payments
Online payments are handled by a third-party payment provider (Chargily Pay) on its own secure page. Slek neither receives nor keeps your card number; it only keeps the transaction identifier and amount, in order to activate your plan or record the payment of an invoice.
When you offer a client to pay one of your invoices online, the sales contract is between you and your client. Slek is not a party to that sale and is not responsible for its performance.
6. Your documents and your data
You alone are responsible for the content you enter (invoices, prices, legal mentions, information about your clients) and for its compliance with the applicable rules, in particular tax and commercial rules. Check every document before you send it.
You warrant that you have the right to record in Slek the information about your clients and suppliers, and to send those people the e-mails you trigger from the Service (invoices, reminders). Your obligations towards them, in particular on personal data, remain yours.
You keep all rights in your data. You only grant us the right to host and process it to provide the Service to you.
7. Tax estimates and preparatory documents
The tax indicators (collected turnover, ceiling, estimated IFU, contributions, collection rate) are estimates calculated from the information you entered. They may differ from the amounts actually due.
The G12 and G12 bis summaries and the exported journals are preparatory documents, not official forms validated by the tax administration (DGI). Have your obligations and your returns checked by a qualified professional before filing anything.
8. Prohibited uses
You must not use the Service to issue false documents or to mislead the administration or third parties; try to access another account’s data or Slek’s systems without permission; disrupt the Service (mass sending, abusive automation, bypassing limits); upload malicious files or unlawful content; or resell or sub-license access to the Service without written agreement.
Slek may refuse a file that is not in an accepted format (PNG, JPEG or WebP images; PDF documents) or that fails its security checks.
9. Availability and backups
Slek endeavours to keep the Service continuously available but does not guarantee it will never be interrupted: maintenance, a technical incident or force majeure may suspend it temporarily.
We take reasonable measures to protect your data, but no system is infallible. Export your data regularly (Settings → “Export my data”) and keep your accounting documents as your legal obligations require.
10. Intellectual property
The Service (software, interface, the Slek brand, texts, graphics) is protected. Slek grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. No other right is transferred to you.
11. Personal data
The processing of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, which you should read before creating your account. It explains how to exercise your rights, in accordance with Algerian law No. 18-07 of 10 June 2018 on the protection of natural persons in the processing of personal data.
Accepting these Terms when you sign up does not, on its own, amount to consent to each of the processing operations described in the Privacy Policy.
12. Suspension and termination
You can delete your account at any time from Settings (“Delete my account”). Deletion is final: it erases your documents, your clients, your payments and your archived files (see the Privacy Policy). Export your data before deleting your account.
Slek may suspend or close an account in case of breach of these Terms, fraudulent use, a risk to the security of the Service or non-payment of a paid plan, trying to inform you beforehand where possible.
When a Pro period ends, the account goes back to the free plan; your data is not deleted as a result.
13. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Slek is not liable for the consequences of inaccurate information entered by the User, of a document sent without checking, of a tax reassessment or penalty, of a loss of business or of any indirect damage resulting from the use of the Service or from its unavailability.
Nothing in these Terms excludes a liability that cannot be excluded under the applicable law.
14. Changes to the Terms
Slek may update the Terms. Each version is dated, and the version you accepted is recorded with your account. If a change is important, you will be told before it takes effect.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by Algerian law. In case of dispute, the parties first seek an amicable solution; failing that, the competent Algerian courts have jurisdiction.
The Terms are provided in French, Arabic and English. If they differ, the French version prevails.
16. Contact
For any question about these Terms, write to us using the contact form on the Legal information page.
